Class – Spanish Basic

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The general objectives of this course are to develop basic communication skills in Spanish as a foreign language and to develop some rudimentary knowledge about the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.

Course content

This is an introductory course both to the Spanish language and to the cultures where the Spanish language is spoken. This course is based on the communicative approach where the emphasis is on communicating a message through meaningful input and structured output rather than repetition and memorization. While it is still important that you study the vocabulary and practice the language, our focus will be on exploring and understanding the language more deeply.
